Judith Bandel started a legal career as a Legal Assistant. in the mid-1970's. For more than twenty years, she specialized in Corporate, Securities, Medical Malpractice and Litigation practices, as well as being a Paralegal Supervisor and an innovator in management techniques relating to the profitability of legal assistants and support staff in the law office. In 1996, she became a Professional Legal Trainer, specializing in Law Firm Software Applications. She has been a Project Manager for a variety of legal management projects for law firms and corporations. Ms. Bandel's expertise in presentation of project results to clients is invaluable in the preparation of graphic, written and oral testimony during litigation. Ms. Bandel's stature in the field reaches to the inception of paralegals at which time she was instrumental in the development of the first New York City Paralegal Association, serving as President and National Representative to the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Judith's expertise as a paralegal is an invaluable asset in training legal staff in the law firm environment. Her unique ability to interact between the legal staff and information technology staff makes her expertise in presentation of project results to clients is invaluable in the preparation of training documentation, course development and implementation of training classes for attorneys, paralegals and support staff, as well as graphic, written and oral testimony during litigation and development of in-house paralegal training programs. Her ability to analyze difficult document projects quickly, explain application processes to students in a manner that teaches as well as informs, makes Ms. Bandel a formidable trainer. Ms. Bandel's stature in the paralegal field reaches to the inception of paralegals at which time she was instrumental in the formation of the first New York City and National Paralegal Associations and served as President and National Representative. Ms. Bandel has written extensively for several legal publications, published books and several pamphlets, and has been an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer for The City University of The City of New York, trainer, guest lecturer and speaker to many legal professional organizations, law firms and corporate legal departments. She has successfully managed high pressure projects involving word processing system conversions, public offerings, anti-trust and class action suits. She holds a B.A. from the City University of New York, an M.A. from Columbia University, and received her paralegal training from the Institute of Paralegal Studies at New York University. She is the founder of Paralegal Consultant Associates, a legal management consulting firm.
